STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

Annual Strawberry Festival
June 9, 12-4 pm
Dottridge Homestead,
1148 Main St, Cotuit

Kick off your summer with this wonderful, family friendly event. Enjoy delicious strawberry shortcake made with fresh strawberries, tender biscuits and homemade whipped cream. New this year will be the offering of root beer floats to complete this classic summer tradition. Tour the museums, visit the gift shop, and enjoy the historical kitchen gardens! Admission is $6.00 per person. ($5 for HSSC members.)

The Historical Society of Santuit & Cotuit oversees and maintains the Dottridge Homestead, the Cotuit Museum, Cotuit Archives, a gift shop, the Rothwell Ice House, and the historical Kitchen Gardens. The museums and gift shop are open weekends from Memorial Day through Christmas. The archives are available for research, and the Homestead and museums are available for private tours by appointment.

Latin & Ancient Greek Tutor

Available to work with students on an individual or small group basis at a mutually convenient location. The study of classical languages facilitates a more thorough understanding of modern ones such as English, and plays a significant role in producing more sensitive readers and writers. By studying Latin and Greek, students also considerably improve analytical and problem-solving skills, in addition to cultivating their vocabulary and memory. Certified Wilson Language Tutor

Certified Wilson Language tutor with knowledge of Waldorf values and learning philosophies available for individual and small group lessons.  Located in Mashpee, I can meet with children at WSCC or another convenient location.  The Wilson philosophy delivers an evidence-based reading and writing curriculum through a structured, multi-sensory practice.  I will work collaboratively with Class Teachers to assess students' progress and specific needs.  Many Waldorf students have experienced success combining these approaches, especially children with Specific Learning Disabilities such as dyslexia.  Please contact Sharon Baird, sharonjbaird@aol.com or 774-236-9021 for more information.
