Position Openings Aftercare Assistant 2013-2014 The Waldorf School of Cape Cod has an opening for an hourly Aftercare Assistant for our Aftercare Program for the 2013-2014 school year. Our ideal candidate has some experience teaching or working with children of all ages. We are seeking someone who is dependable, likes to work with colleagues, has good communication skills, and has a love for working with young children. The Aftercare Program is our end of the day program from 3:00 to 5:00pm (5:30pm on Thursdays) that serves the children who are currently enrolled in our early childhood morning and grades programs. Our early childhood program consists of daily parent-child programs, a nursery for 3-5 year olds, and a kindergarten. Our Grades School serves grades 1 through 8, and offers a richness of experience in both class and subjects teachers (handwork, woodwork, French, Latin, music, learning support, and spatial dynamics). We are a full member of WECAN and currently hold AWSNA Developing School status. The Waldorf School of Cape Cod is now celebrating its 28thyear of teaching excellence on the Cape. Our school is located on a beautiful 13.5 acre property surrounded by woods. Located within driving distance to Boston, the Cape is an idyllic setting to raise children with ocean, bays, lakes and woods to explore for miles in all directions. Our current enrollment is 106 student and we have been growing. We have a highly supportive and involved parent community and board. Through strong collegial collaboration, grounded in a solid commitment to Waldorf education, our faculty greatly enjoys their work together out of a strong consensus model.

Learning Support Teacher for 2013-2014 The Waldorf School of Cape Cod is seeking a part-time Learning Support Teacher for the 2013-2014 school year. Desired qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s or Masters degree, Waldorf remedial training, prior experience working with and assessing learning differences in children, and teaching or other experience in Waldorf education. The school will also consider a skilled applicant that has significant training and work experience in a non-Waldorf private or public school environment. The Waldorf School of Cape Cod is celebrating its 28thyear of teaching excellence on the Cape. Our school is situated on a beautiful 13.5 acre site in the quaint village of Cotuit. Located ninety minutes our from Boston, the Cape is an idyllic setting to raise children with ocean, bays, lakes and woods to explore for miles in all directions. Our school was founded in 1984 and offers a PreK-8 Waldorf education, as well as Parent-Child programs. Our current enrollment is 116 students and we are taking root and growing in our new location. We have a highly supportive and involved parent community. About Us Our school is located within the village of Cotuit. The natural beauty of the area is unprecedented, with water and beaches everywhere.
