First Grade Teacher

 The Waldorf School of Cape Cod is seeking a First Grade Teacher for the 2012-2013 school year.  The Waldorf School of Cape Cod is celebrating its 27th year of teaching excellence on the beautiful Cape.  Our school is located on a beautiful 13.5 acre site in the quaint village of Cotuit.  Located ninety minutes our from Boston, the Cape is an idyllic setting to raise children with ocean, bays, lakes and woods to explore for miles in all directions.  Our school was founded in 1974 and offers a PreK-8 Waldorf education, as well as Parent-Child programs. Our current enrollment is 105 students and we are taking root and growing.  We have a highly supportive and involved parent community. Through strong collegial collaboration, grounded in a solid commitment to Waldorf education, our faculty greatly enjoys their work together out of a strong consensus model.

Woodworking Teacher for 2012-2013

The Waldorf School of Cape Cod is seeking a part-time Woodworking Teacher for the 2012-2013 school year.  Desired qualifications for this grades teaching position include a degree of proficiency in woodworking, strong classroom management skills, good communication skills for working with colleagues and parents, and an understanding of the unique mission of Waldorf schools in working with the development of the students in the 4th through 8th grade.

Substitute Staff (ongoing)

Do you enjoy working with groups of children? We are looking for substitute teachers for grades 1 through 8, early childhood (nursery and kindergarten), special subjects (French, games, woodwork, and handwork), and our Extended Day and Aftercare programs. Our current pay rates are $12/hour for teachers and $10/hour for assistants.

Our school is located within the village of Cotuit. The natural beauty of the area is unprecedented, with water and beaches everywhere. A historical atmosphere prevails in all the surrounding communities, with the nearby towns of Plymouth and Sandwich being some of the oldest permanently inhabited areas of the country. We are within one hour’s drive of all that the cities of Boston and Providence have to offer. Also within a reasonable driving distance are the Waldorf training centers at Sunbridge College in Spring Valley, New York and Antioch New England Graduate School in southern New Hampshire.
